FMQ: Gething remains silent on TATA deal

Following questions in Parliament, Andrew RT Davies MS, leader of the Welsh Conservatives, said:

“The lack of clarity about what can be offered for jobs in the steel sector is spreading the anxiety felt across Wales.

“We have heard promises that there will be a new deal and new money, but we have not seen any details.

“Instead of using grandiloquence to try to prolong his political career, the Prime Minister should give hope to our steel communities by outlining the kind of support that will be available.”

Sir Keir Starmer has described the future of Tata Steel as “very concerning” following a meeting with the Welsh First Minister on the latest leg of his tour of the devolved nations.
