The Last of Us Part I Review by Silent-Heal

The Last of Us Part I Review by Silent-Heal

This is a realistic drama game of very good quality about the post-apocalypse era and its beginning. With settings that allow you to play Grounded realistically – a tactical stealth survival action shooter or just shoot everyone and finish the game. In terms of gameplay, combat, timing, obedience of the character to the player in any situation, as far as I remember, plus the settings of all this that are in the game – the game is ideal for today and developers should take inspiration from this game – extremely plausible, fair, comfortable, easy control, camera, aiming, combat, actions, movements, walking, running, realistic and at the same time fast, not meticulous and high-quality, based on the player’s skills, and not on replay and healing potions, using what you come across, bricks, bottles, various cold and hot weapons with limited ammunition. Various unusual locations, such as flooded semi-destroyed buildings, etc., and tasty puzzles. The graphics, realistic proportions of the environment, the atmosphere, the approach, the characters, the English dubbing and the GAMEPLAY are a masterpiece, the best, unfortunately unique in its kind. Games like this are very rare.

A game you want to play again.

Frequent savings and convenient NG+.

But in terms of plot – emotions, the cutscenes are rather weak, not enough. I didn’t get the feeling at all that they had traveled across the country and gone through a lot together, I felt like a few days had passed. Plus in-game agendas, immoral movements, etc. For this, I lowered the rating.

Amazing soundtrack but the sound can also be improved, it’s not immersive like in DAYMARE 1994 (2023) for example.

Technical part – there are slideshows in the game as if the location is loading and requires dlss for 60 fps due to insufficient optimization. The PC version is needed if you have a large screen 70+, real 4k resolution is needed in the game, I don’t know about that for 55 but 65+ you need the PC version. On PS5, don’t look at what Sony writes on their boxes, the game there is maxed out at 2k, and it is impossible to play at 30 fps, so it’s not even 2k, but often 720p at 60 fps. Optimization… it works fine, but the requirements are too high. Compiling shaders happens again if you haven’t launched the game for several days. It’s a huge inconvenience that this compilation exists at all, especially when the compilation happens when the game is restarted after several days. There is also FSR which works on all video cards and DLSS, they add about 20 fps, but the image is not exactly the same at 100%.

The second part, on PS5, is an emotional trap where I think the developer disrespected the fans and did something that shouldn’t have been done, and on top of that, he replaced the plot with a very stupid plot with no connection even with the disrespect and cruelty to the fans and that’s why the second part is just very boring and boring. The problem started much earlier, in that first part, in the DLC, in which they inserted a sick agenda and glued together other episodes like a manipulation. If you take my character, the hero, the essence of the series and throw it in the trash, then why and how would I play this game or watch this movie? Why watch Spider-Man 2 without Spider-Man? This is extremely stupid and cruel. People came to play, to have fun, to get something useful, and not to be tortured like this. And in the case of the second part of this game, this, to put it mildly, does not work. The second part is an aggressive, undisguised manipulation, and not some kind of plausible realistic tragedy that is normally perceived. A shame. And forcing you to believe the wrong things, forcing you to like characters that are impossible to like, they are uninteresting, evil and stupid. And I repeat, why hurt the people who came to play your game? If you really want to get into the drama, then do it without hurting people, and besides, they paid for the game and there is very good gameplay. You, the author of the game, force them to endure this disgusting scenario. The question at the end of the first part is actually very simple, Joel did everything right. The fact that Abby is an antagonist is simple, which also seems very unpleasant, why play as an antagonist and hurt people?

About Sony – besides many disadvantages compared to PC, Sony’s problem is that most games are in English, even if the game has dubbing in other languages. This is some kind of regional nonsense. Sometimes there is not even a translation in the form of subtitles. But this game and Marvel’s Spider-Man do not have this problem. This is some kind of regional nonsense. I do not know how Sony did not go bankrupt, maybe most people know English, play on small screens and do not know the capabilities and number of games on PC.
