Silent Wings, Infantino and Viotti win the qualifying match for the 2024 German Championship at Hof Bettenrode

Silent Wings, 5 years old, Infantino, 6 years old, and Viotti, 7 years old, were the winners of the Bundeschampionate qualifying rounds which took place at the national show in Hof Bettenrode on 12 July 2024.

Out of 18 participants Children aged 5 Only the top two achieved the minimum criterion score to qualify for Warendorf (8.0 or higher). The class winner was Sina Aringer aboard the Hanoverian gelding Cord Gaus Silent Wings (by Secret x Sandro Hit) with 8.04 points. The black gelding scored 8.2 in the walk, 7.8 in the trot, 8.4 in the canter, 7.8 in submission and 8 in general impression. Aringer only recently returned to competition after giving birth to her first baby, daughter Lotta, on March 19, 2024. Austrian-born German Saskia Lieben-Seutter placed second on Maik Kanitzky’s Westphalian gelding Valenciano (by Vitalis x Conello) with 8.0.

In the 6 years class, there were 11 pairs present and four got the ticket to Warendorf. The winner was Kira Wulferding aboard Friederike Rehkamp’s Oldenburg stallion Infantino (by Ibiza x Sandro Hit) with 8.24 points. The stallion scored 8.5 in the walk, 8.7 in the trot, 8.2 in the gallop, 7.3 in submission and 8.5 in general impression. He finished ahead of Anne Kock on her own Hanoverian gelding Valentina Garavani (by Vitalis x Spörcken) with 8.1 points.

In the 7 years division there were ten pairs and Philippe Hess dominated the field aboard Kerstin Klose’s Hanoverian stallion Voitti (by Vivaldi x Donnerhall) at 72.934%. He had the Austrian Manuel Springhetti on his heels with Michael Schmitz’s Indianapolis (by Indian Rock x Fidertanz) at 72.431%.
