Reward offered after two dogs left tied to post in Manchester

MANCHESTER, Conn. (WTNH) — The Desmond Army is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the person responsible for abandoning two dogs in the pouring rain over the weekend.

The animal rights group is offering a $5,000 reward.


Manchester animal control officials said video footage showed a man walking the two pit dogs in the area of ​​Spruce Street and Charter Oak Park around 8 p.m. Friday.

The dogs were found tied to a basketball hoop on Cottage Street the next morning.

Animal control is asking anyone in the area with security cameras to check them for images of the man between 8 p.m. July 12 and 10 a.m. July 13.
