Man used stolen credit card to rent Hamptons hotel room, police say

SOUTHAMPTON, N.Y. — Police are searching for a man they say used a stolen credit card to rent a hotel room in Southampton last year.

Detectives with Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and the Southampton Town Police Department said they are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the man who used the card to rent a hotel room at the Southampton Inn, located on Hill Street, on Aug. 27, 2023, around 7:50 a.m. The charge was approximately $560, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information leading to an arrest.
