IKEA’s New $35 Table Lets You Make the Beach Your Dining Room

IKEA’s New Table Lets You Make the Beach Your Dining Room

As much as we love going back to IKEA classics (the Malm bed and Billy bookshelves are must-haves), there’s nothing quite like stumbling upon something special in the New & Trending section. The latest gem? A $35 folding table that’s about to become our beach-day best friend.

We were first struck by its electric blue hue. If there’s a time and place for bright colors, it’s summer on the beach. Beyond looks, this piece is all about functionality. You can fold it up and toss it in your tote, and once you’re there, it opens up to 29 inches, which is enough space for a generous cheese board. The sturdy raised surface is made of mesh that water and sand will pass right through. But our favorite part has to be the clever lower compartments, perfect for holding cutlery or even a deck of cards.

The Strandön table has more to offer, in fact, it’s a whole collection. Following the same refreshing color palette, a larger folding table set, a portable grill, and a pop-up tent have just arrived, each of which seriously upgrades your sand excursions. The only downside: everything is limited edition. We don’t recommend jumping in your car and rushing to your nearest IKEA store, but we also don’t recommend driving to an IKEA store. not say that.
