Wyoming State Fair Announces 2024 Event Lineup

DOUGLAS, Wyo. — The Wyoming State Fair has announced the lineup of events and exhibits that showcase the state’s talents and traditions.

The state fair will be held in Douglas, at 400 W. Center St. From rodeo competitions to live music, agricultural showcases to educational programs, the fair is a testament to Wyoming’s rich heritage and vibrant spirit, according to a news release.

The Wyoming State Fair opens with the Ranch Rodeo Finals in the Grandstands on Tuesday, August 13. The Wyoming State Fair Team Roping and Breakaway Jackpot events showcase the skills of local cowboys and cowgirls.

Throughout the week, fairgoers can enjoy free concerts by Wyoming singer-songwriters.

The PRCA rodeo features stock from Wyoming on August 14-15.

“The entire board and I are excited to host an event each year that truly embodies the Wyoming lifestyle,” Shawn Steffen, Wyoming State Fair Board Chairman, said in the release. “Our fair is a celebration of the hard workers, rich traditions and vibrant culture that make our state unique. We look forward to welcoming everyone to experience the best of Wyoming.”

The Wyoming State Fair is proud to present a variety of exhibits that showcase the best of Wyoming livestock and static projects.

Educational programs are an important part of the show. The “Everyday Ag” program promotes agriculture with a focus on Wyoming’s contributions.

New for 2024, the Wyoming Resources campaign will highlight the critical impact of natural resources on the state’s economy, providing educational opportunities and interactive exhibits to engage and inform visitors.

“We are extremely proud to host an event that celebrates Wyoming’s unique talents and traditions,” said Courtny Conkle, executive director of the Wyoming State Fair. “From our premier rodeo events and local musical acts to our educational programs and agricultural exhibits, this year’s fair is a true reflection of the spirit of our great state.”
