Coronation Street to collapse after Lauren Bolton’s pregnancy

Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Coronation Street will air next week a terrifying breakdown from Lauren Bolton as she fears she will lose her baby.

With a pregnant Lauren currently living in Joel Deering’s old apartment while he arranges a move to Ireland for her, Joel struggles to continue paying Lauren’s expenses while hiding his secret double life from his fiancée Dee-Dee Bailey.

Viewers have already seen the sinister Joel, who groomed and abused Lauren earlier this year before attacking her, searching online for drugs that could induce premature labour.

In scenes set to air on Friday, August 2, Lauren will panic when she experiences severe stomach pains.

After Joel goes to see Lauren at the apartment, he continues to promise her that she will be moving to Ireland very soon. He then assures Dee-Dee, who has no idea, that she will have his full attention from now on.

Lauren faces another big setback when she’s mugged at the police station, and her friend Max Turner rushes to comfort her.

When Joel finds out about the incident, he pretends to be concerned for Lauren while secretly planning to cut her out of his life for good.

After Joel leaves, Lauren suddenly collapses in pain, holding her stomach. When Max shows up at her door to check on her, Lauren yells at him that something is wrong and that she is terrified of losing her baby.

Will Lauren and the baby make it out, and could evil Joel really be responsible for this horrible situation?

Lauren star Cait Fitton recently opened up about Lauren’s feelings about her pregnancy, explaining that her character is desperate to protect her baby no matter what.

“Lauren is still petrified because she knows what Joel can do: nothing will stop him. Now it’s not just her she has to worry about, it’s the baby too,” she said.

“Parents will know that their baby comes first, that’s Lauren. She doesn’t care what happens to her now. As long as her baby is safe, that’s all she cares about.”

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
