I know it’s a hackneyed metaphor, but the MS1001-Ti shares a lot in common with the Cybertruck on a spiritual level. It defies existing norms, features a unique geometric design and highly durable construction, and runs on a lithium battery. In short, it’s electric on the inside and unconventionally avant-garde on the outside. The watch itself sports a body machined from titanium alloy, which is known for being both hypoallergenic and hyper-durable. The oddly appealing low-poly design puts the watch in a visual class of its own, while its linear time-telling experience instantly transforms it into an iconic wristwatch.

The watch’s user experience is a masterclass. The watch doesn’t feature rotating hands or a digital display. Instead, it uses a linear screw-driven flyback movement and a moving arrow to help tell the time. This unorthodox experience doesn’t require a learning curve—simply put, the hour is indicated on the left and the minutes on the right. CNC motors power the rotating screw, which allows the arrow to move up and down in the hour or minute window. It’s an experience that’s as pleasing to the eye as it is easy to read. The upgraded variant now sports a titanium outer shell, making it more durable yet lighter than its predecessor, weighing just 86 grams or 3 ounces, while also boasting a slightly larger dial and display window. The display window is covered by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal that also gives the watch water resistance up to 30 meters or 3 ATM. Meanwhile, the fluoro rubber straps offer a classic yet sporty aesthetic with the added benefit of being water and weather resistant. The internal 270mAh battery lasts for 35 days on a full charge, and a contact charging cable lets you recharge your watch in a flash.
