Rapper Pras Michel criticizes Lauryn Hill in new leaked track

There seems to be some internal drama between the members of The Fugees following the announcement of the American dates of the beloved band’s upcoming tour would be cancelled.

Pras Michel insulted the one and only Ms. Lauryn Hill in a song called “Bar Mitzfa.” Obtained by TMZThe track has not been officially released on streaming services and was recorded last week.

In the song, Pras We hear him say: “Don’t blame me, blame her, she’s the one who made the mess / Not a single cent, that’s what I told Clef.”

Pras also continued to lash out at Hill on his Instagram Story, writing, “No one will remember the clickbait arguments, your salary, how many Gucci bags you owned, the lame excuses. People will remember: how you made them feel, if you kept your word, if they could count on you, if you showed up on time!!”

Following the announcement that the tour would be cancelled, Ms. Lauryn Hill went to social mediaessentially blaming the media for creating a negative narrative about her and saying she loves performing for her fans.

“Last year I was faced with an injury that required the postponement of some of my shows,” she wrote. “Unfortunately, some media outlets’ penchant for sensationalism and sensationalist headlines apparently created a narrative that affected ticket sales for the North American leg of the tour. The confidence and faith I have in my intentions and commitment to my art seems to have been overshadowed by this unfortunate performance.”

She added: “Performing for my fans is a profound exchange of energy and emotion that excites me every time. Each show is a piece of my expression and a testament to our connection and shared love of music. I can assure you that no one is more disappointed than I am that I won’t be able to perform.”

She also added that UK and European dates were still on for the upcoming tour.

It’s no secret that Ms. Hill has earned a bad reputation for showing up late or not showing up to shows she was supposed to perform at. While she may not have been the cause of the tour’s cancellation, that perception has been there for years.
