Another edition of Meet the Irish with S Rod Heard II

It pays to have a program that is well-respected among players, which was one of Rod Heard II’s biggest draws in selecting Notre Dame.

The former Northwestern safety hails from Farmington Hills, Michigan, an area that has produced more than one Irish player. Drew Mahalic, Ovie Oghoufo and Khalid Kareem all grew up in the same town, which helped push Heard to make the decision to join Notre Dame’s program.

He explained his transfer recruitment process as well as his favorite thing about being a member of the football team, who his favorite coach is, his favorite musician, what his hidden talent is and much more in the latest Meet the Irish video on social media.

Someone will have to teach Heard how to do an Irish jig, other than that he seems extremely happy with his choice to finish his college career with Notre Dame.
