Badshah is one of the most loved singers and rappers, who never misses an opportunity to melt his fans with his electrifying songs. The singer’s most famous songs include Genda Phool, Sanak, Buzz, Jugnu, And DJ Wale Babu, among others. Well, the singer recently revealed that Karan Johar had offered him a role in Stories of lust, but he refused because he was concerned about his image.

Badshah recently gave an interview to The Lallantop, in which he shared that Karan Johar had offered him a role in Stories of Lustwhich was later played by Vicky KaushalBadshah added that during a show, Karan Johar approached him to play the role of a “guy who can’t satisfy his wife”. Badshah remarked that he initially thought it was a joke and then asked KJo if he looked like that. Badshah said:

“I thought Karan sir was joking. He said, ‘There is a role of a man who can’t satisfy his wife’. And I said, ‘Yeh kya baat hui sir? Main aisa lagta hoon kya.’

Badshah thought it was all just a joke, but the next day, the same topic came up again. Badshah revealed that Varun Dhawan had even come to congratulate him, but he declined the offer as he was not sure if he could pull off the role. Badshah shared:

“Yes, honestly. We were judging a show called Dil Hai Hindustani, and he was sitting right next to me. He said, ‘I think there is a role that will suit you.’ I thought he was joking or just being nice. But he brought it up again during the next shoot. Then Varun Dhawan came for a shoot and congratulated me on being launched by Dharma. But I turned down the role because I didn’t know if I could handle it. I was taking myself too seriously.”

In the same interview, Badshah shared that he was offered the role of Diljit Dosanjh in the film, Good newsThe actor said that he was busy trekking in Manali when Karan Johar called him and asked him to come back to Mumbai to audition with Rajkumar Rao. Badshah revealed that the role he was offered was that of a character who cannot have children. The singer shared that he also declined the role. In Badshah’s words:

“I was trekking in Manali and I saw Karan Sir’s missed call. He summoned me to Mumbai and Shashank Khaitan was also there. They told me to audition with Raj, but the role was of a character who can’t have children. The role I finally played was that of a rapper suffering from erectile dysfunction, in Khandani Shafakhana. I did it because I wanted to create awareness and it was a very good film.”

Badshah’s Personal Life

Badshah was married to Jasmine Masih, with whom he had a daughter. A few years after their marriage, Badshah and Jasmine separated. The former couple is now raising their daughter together, and the little one resides with her mother in London. In the same interview on The Lallantop, Badshah revealed that Jasmine was unable to adjust to the cultural differences after their marriage. He also added that they both tried hard to save their relationship, but they were not able to do so, and it was becoming unhealthy for their child. Hence, they decided to end their marriage.

Badshah revealed in the same interview that he met Jasmine on Facebook and then through mutual friends. Badshah mentioned that he and Jasmine dated for a year before they got married, and his parents asked him if he was sure. Badshah stated that his parents were actually right most of the time, as his parents predicted that there would be problems between him and Jasmine, which later turned out to be true.
