Former BR women’s basketball star announces commitment to Division 1 Big East

Natalia Hall-Rosa is headed to the Big East.

The former Bridgewater-Raynham star, who is approaching her senior season at Rivers Academy in Weston, announced on X over the weekend that she will play Division 1 college basketball at Seton Hall University.

As a junior at BR in 2023, Hall-Rosa, a 6-foot forward, was named Southeastern Conference MVP as he led the Trojans to their fourth straight unbeaten run en route to the league title with a team-high 19.4 points and 7.7 rebounds per game.

Hall-Rosa had 12 double-digit point games that season, including a career-best 33 points against Bishop Feehan in the Division 1 Elite Eight. She reclassified to the Class of 2025 and transferred to Rivers Academy this offseason with 890 career points.

A three-time Brockton Enterprise All-Scholastic selection, Hall-Rosa averaged 19.5 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists per game and was named to the South Shore League All-Star team as a freshman phenom at Randolph High in 2021.

Hall-Rosa transferred to Bridgewater-Raynham at the start of her sophomore year. That winter, she led the Trojans in team-best points (13.5 per game) and rebounds (6.1), and scored in double figures 16 times as BR finished 13-6.

“She can score from anywhere,” former teammate Reese Bartlett told The Enterprise in December 2022 of Hall-Rosa. “She’s definitely a good person to be on the court with at any time. Not just on offense, but on defense. She’s always everywhere. Always intense. Good teammate. Good communicator. Good leader for everybody. A lot of our young girls look up to her.”

Seton Hall just finished last season with a 17-15 record, the Pirates’ fifth consecutive winning season under longtime coach Tony Bozzella. That streak ended with a 54-47 loss at St. Joseph’s in the inaugural women’s basketball invitational.
