The Atlético de Madrid striker shared the news on Monday September 30, just before The Blues upcoming matches against Israel and Belgium.

During his international career, Griezmann made a significant contribution by participating in six major tournaments.

According to The Independent, he played a pivotal role in France’s triumph at the 2018 World Cup, where he won the man of the match award against Croatia and helped the team reach the final again at Qatar in 2022.

Griezmann concludes his international career having represented France 137 times, scoring 44 goals, according to Transfermarkt.

This impressive total positions him as the fourth most capped player in the country’s history.

In relation, YEN.com.gh reported that former Manchester United defender Raphael Varane has declared his retirement following a recent injury.

The 2018 World Cup champion was injured on his debut for Como against Sampdoria last month in Serie A.
