Tony Khan on potential AEW roster split: It’s too early to speculate on this, but it’s something I would consider

Tony Khan says an AEW roster split is an interesting thought.

As AEW’s roster and programming has grown, fans have often questioned whether AEW could potentially use a roster split. Speculation heated up when AEW launched Collision in 2023, and while some talent has appeared more frequently on Collision than Dynamite, any sort of division on the roster has diminished in recent months.

During the AEW WrestleDream conference call, ProWrestling.Net’s Jason Powell asked Tony Khan about the possibility of AEW utilizing a roster split. Khan noted that it was an interesting thought and that he was working on interesting things in terms of the future of AEW media and the AEW roster.

“It’s not a bad thought. It’s an interesting thought. I’ve definitely considered a lot of iterations of roster management and I’m still working on some really interesting things in terms of the future of AEW media and the AEW roster. It’s too early to speculate on that. The new agreement and what’s to come, but it’s an interesting thought that I’ve pondered and thought about. It’s a good thought, one way or another, it’s an interesting idea, but now, definitely having some very interesting things happening at the shows is a. Interesting thought and in the future something I would and might consider.” Khan said.
