Paris police investigate suspected arson attempt

PARIS, Texas (KXII) – Paris police are investigating an alleged arson incident Wednesday night.

According to the department, a woman who lived behind a house in the 500 block of NE 12th Street lit a fire in a small pot, approached the house and dropped it before running back into the woods when the residents left.

The woman had allegedly made threats to set fire to the house and a vehicle in the past.

Firefighters arrived and put out the fire.
