When will tickets be on sale?

Glastonbury Festival has announced ticket sale details for the 2025 event. With the battle for golden tickets expected to be fiercer than ever, information about the sale is crucial to forming a good plan of action in advance.

The team behind Glastonbury has confirmed that 2,025 tickets will initially go on sale on Thursday 14th November at 6pm GMT for bus and ticket packages, and standard tickets will be available on Sunday 17th November at 9am GMT.

As in recent years, anyone trying to get a ticket will have to register first. Registration is now open, so anyone who wants to secure tickets needs to make sure that all details are filled in and correct. Furthermore, when purchasing tickets, you will need a unique registration code for anyone who accesses the purchase page, as well as friend codes for those who intend to purchase tickets. Having this information organized and ready is essential to have any chance of securing the tickets you are looking for. Applications will close at 5pm GMT on Monday 11th November.

Although Glastonbury’s capacity is an impressive crowd of 200,000 people who attend each year, almost 2.5 million people try for tickets annually, meaning there are more than ten people fighting for each ticket. Notably, the same rules apply to tickets for 2025 as in recent years and a group can purchase a maximum of six tickets in this original sale.

The festival has confirmed a price increase for the 2025 event. The cost of entry has also increased for 2024. Now £373.50 along with a £5 booking fee. A deposit of £75 is due in November, being the remainder paid in the first week of April 2025. In 2024 a ticket costs £355 so there has been an increase of £18.50.

However, the 2025 edition appears to be more sought after than in previous years, as there will be no festival in 2026. The following year will be a fallow year used to heal the festival grounds and restore Worthy Farm.

Who will headline Glastonbury 2025?

Last year’s festival was headlined by Dua Lipa, Coldplay and SZA, which represented a pop-heavy lineup and lack of genre diversity among Worthy Farm’s biggest names. At this stage, the 2025 line-up has not been confirmed, but there have been huge rumors and mass conversations about who it could be.

When the Oasis reunion was announced, many believed that Noel and Liam Gallagher would join Pyramid Stag, but that has now been resolved.

Taylor Swift, Eminem, Rihanna and Madonna are among the names that often play in Somerset. Swift is now the only artist from the canceled 2020 edition to not return and take her place as a headliner since then.

Other names that are at the top of the billing are Olivia Rodrigo, The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Harry Styles and more.

For the 2024 event, Glastonbury waited until March to reveal the event’s headline artists. By the same logic, the rumor will be going strong for another five months before everything is finally revealed.
