Ayreon Announces 30th Anniversary Live Dates in September 2025

Dutch prog rockers Ayreon will celebrate their 30th anniversary with a series of five shows at Tilburg venue 013 on September 12th, 13th and 14th.

Arjen Lucassen and the band will once again be joined by a stellar cast of guest vocalists and musicians from across the band’s history for their live show Ayreon – 30th Anniversary – An Amazing Flight Through Time.

In what promises to be another eye-popping live spectacle, the setlist will span Ayreon’s 30-year history, including some songs that have never been played live before, as well as touching on some of Lucassen’s side projects.

“After the overwhelming success of Ayreon’s previous shows and, above all, the warm reception from fans and musicians alike, it was an easy decision to bring Ayreon back for more shows in 2025,” says Lucassen. “But the big question was: what should the theme of the show be and how can we surprise and delight fans this time? The answer is simple – 2025 marks Ayreon’s 30th anniversary! I can’t wait to see the fans’ reactions. for a setlist featuring classic Ayreon songs, as well as some we’ve never played live before. And, of course, there will be a new stage design and exciting special effects.

Once again, Tilburg will take on the role of ‘Ayreon City’ featuring several Ayreon-themed events, including the return of the Ayreon pop-up shop at 013’s Next Stage with exclusive merchandise. There will be special performances, the 2023 show 01011001 – Live Beneath The Waves will be shown at the Pathé Cinema, there will be an Ayreon campsite, restaurants and bars offering special Ayreon-themed menus and promotions, as well as an Ayreon beer!

“I’m really excited to be playing Ayreon’s best selection of songs live during the 30th anniversary shows,” says producer/lead keyboardist Joost van den Broek. “It’s refreshing not to be playing a full studio album this time around, but we’ll be much freer to shape the show exactly how we’d like. It will be a super versatile setlist celebrating Arjen’s incredible catalog of over 30 years of music. I’m excited about every step to come in this huge process of creating Ayreon’s ultimate “flight through time.” I can’t wait for next year’s show when everything we’ve worked on will come together in room 013 and I’ll have the honor of sharing the stage with this great cast of musicians, playing in front of the always amazing and passionate Ayreon Fans!”
