Did Ben Githae sing about Gachagua’s impeachment?

The Senate is expected to begin the impeachment trial after Parliament overwhelmingly agreed to the motion.

Githae, known for capitalizing on political events to make music, released a song called Nyakati Za Wasaliti.

His fans said he was addressing the apparent betrayal of the vice president by politicians in the Mount Kenya region.

“Tuko nyakati zile, za wasaliti, upande upande, ni wasaliti,

Uadilifu na uaminifu zimetupiliwa mbali na wasaliti,

Mungu tupe hekima tuwatambue wasaliti…” he sings in the hit song which has garnered 15,000 views.

Githae then described instances of betrayal in the Bible, including Judas eating the last supper with Jesus before selling him to the Pharisees.

He then talked about Joseph’s brother selling him to Egypt and Delilah cutting Samson’s hair before the Philistines subdued him.

Githae then warned that making a small mistake could expose those around him, ready to betray him.

The singer also warned politicians to be careful with her so-called friends.

Kenyans concluded that he was addressing the Gachagua situation, with many admitting that they liked the song.
