Sherlock Holmes’ silent film era returns: 1920s film to be shown for the first time in the century

The early adventures of the iconic Sherlock Holmes have been brought back to life in a newly restored silent film series from the 1920s.

Produced by the British company Stoll Pictures, the films consist of 45 episodes of The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and two feature films.
Notably, they closely follow Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s original stories and star Eille Norwood, who Doyle believed was the perfect choice for the role.

Sherlock Holmes fans will soon be able to see the detective’s authentic portrayal on the big screen. Watch the video to find out when and where.
