Inspired by the former minister’s gesture, NRI Venkat promised to cover the first year’s fees and arranged the funds on the occasion of his birthday.

Hyderabad: Inspired by BRS working president KT Rama Rao, Telangana NRI Dudala Venkat extended financial support to a poor student, B Gowri from Wanaparthy district, to pursue her studies in MBBS. Rama Rao, along with Venkat’s father Ravinder, handed over a check of Rs 1.65 lakh to Gowri in the presence of his parents in Hyderabad on Monday.

Gowri, from Kalvarala village in Veepanagandla mandal, got a medical seat but faced difficulties in paying the first year’s fee due to his family’s precarious financial situation. The issue was brought to Rama Rao’s attention via social media, and he promptly assured that he would support Gowri’s education in a personal capacity. Inspired by the former minister’s gesture, NRI Venkat promised to cover the first year’s fees and arranged the funds on the occasion of his birthday.


Rama Rao congratulated Venkat’s family for their generosity and thanked Gowri’s father, a farm worker, for supporting his daughter. Gowri thanked Rama Rao and Venkat’s family for supporting his medical education.
