Undefeated Indiana football announces first sellout since 2021

BLOOMINGTON – Indiana football announced its homecoming game against Nebraska at Memorial Stadium on Oct. 19 is officially sold out. The program made the announcement on social media this Thursday afternoon.

It’s the first sellout at the 52,626-seat venue since the Oct. 23, 2021, game against Ohio State and the sixth in the past decade.

The 20 Hoosiers are 6-0 heading into the bye week and are one of just 12 undefeated teams remaining in the FBS. They are just one of three teams not to lose this season.

Indiana’s ticket sales were up 10% at the start of the season, but it challenged fans to fill the stadium and stay in their seats all four quarters. He was happy with the improved attendance at the team’s final home game on September 28 against Maryland.

Although it appears that tickets are almost sold out, many of the announced 48,323 fans stayed until the final moments despite the wet conditions.

“You could feel the fans out there,” Cignetti said. “I’m happy that they continue to improve in the service area. I thought it was a good turnout, and good is the enemy of great, so we’re going to have a great turnout. at home and figure out how to make it even louder, because that’s what we want to do; We want to be the best in everything we do.”

Indiana still has three more home games after playing at Nebraska this weekend – Washington (Oct. 26), Michigan (Nov. 9) and Purdue (Nov. 30) – and the program announced there are only limited tickets left for each. one of them.
