On Thursday, October 10th, the Vanderpump Rules The cast member provided a blast from the past with the most incredible throwback photo you’ll never unsee.

The image, which appeared to be a high school senior photo, showed Tom standing in a park while wearing a blue button-down shirt, black pants, and frosted ends — the once-fashionable hairstyle that typically involved a short, spiky cut with bleach. or illuminated tips. It was a fashion that dominated the late 1990s and early 1990s, thanks in large part to the inescapable aesthetic of boy bands.

Tom used the photo to promote his Oct. 12 birthday party at Schwartz & Sandy’s, the Los Angeles bar/restaurant he co-owns with Tom Sandoval.

“Guys, my only birthday wish is that you come play this Saturday night (at Schwartz & Sandy’s),” he captioned the post. “(T)hinking we can enjoy some music from the late 90s and early 2000s and drink some Mickey grenades. My real birthday is the 16th^the but I won’t be here that day, so I’m going to celebrate Saturday like it’s 1999.”

But Tom’s walk down memory lane wasn’t over yet. A day after the initial invite, he returned to the ‘Gram to share a memory from his childhood. The image, which also promoted his birthday party, showed little Tom in a sparkly long-sleeved beach t-shirt, short haircut and a stuffed animal on his arm.

Although he hasn’t frozen his ends in a while, Tom has sported an arguably edgier hairstyle in 2023. As you probably remember, the Minnesota native ditched his signature brown color in favor of blonde locks — a move that received mixed reactions from his castmates.

Brock Davies and James Kennedy agreed that Tom “pulled (the look) off,” but his ex-wife, Katie Maloney, wasn’t convinced.

“He likes to do things to his hair, but the bleach was a delight for all of us,” Katie joked on Vanderpump Rules After Show. “Also combined with the new clothing options? …. This is very terry.”

Tom suggested he regretted the move as soon as he found himself on the small screen.

“There were times when I felt super sexy, but when I see myself back on TV, I’m like, ‘Oh God,’” he said before revealing that he dyes his hair even when it’s brunette. “I only get a little gray here (on the sides). And yes, I’m going to touch up these babies because I’m not ready to have gray hair until I have at least one child.”
