$5,000 reward offered for information about stabbing death of local homeless woman

A reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest in the murder of a local homeless woman.

The incident occurred in the 2500 block of Babcock Road, in a wooded area behind the location.

According to Crimestoppers, at 2pm on Thursday, February 22, San Antonio police were called to the scene for an apparent sudden death.

Officers found the victim, later identified as 47-year-old Regina Meyer Martinez, behind the apartments in a wooded area suffering from multiple stab wounds. His body was found along the 7200 block of Snowden Road. Martinez appeared homeless and was found near a homeless camp, authorities said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 210-224-7867. A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest.
