We are shocked and deeply saddened by the sudden death of Paul Lowe, Professor of Conflict, Peace and Image at the London College of Communication, UAL.

Paul has been a deeply valued colleague for over two decades and a leading figure in the LCC and UAL photography community. Paul’s work throughout his career has had a groundbreaking impact on the representation of war and conflict and, later, on the complex cultural negotiations involved in the work of peace and reconciliation. Paul leaves behind an incredible legacy as a photographer, author, award-winning critic, and, not least, as a truly compassionate educator.
