Trump says he’s not ‘troubled’ in Fox News town hall

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on Tuesday defended recent comments describing his political opponents as “the enemy within,” saying he is not “troubled” during a Fox News town hall with an all-female audience, from according to media reports.

At a Monday rally in Erie, Pennsylvania, Vice President Kamala Harris called her Republican rival “increasingly unstable and unbalanced.” She cited Trump’s comments about how military force should be used against “radical left lunatics” on Election Day, with Trump describing such people as a greater threat to the US than adversaries like Russia and China.

“He seeks unfettered power,” she added.

Fox News’ Harris Faulkner, who moderated Trump’s town hall focused on women’s issues, reportedly asked the former president to weigh in on Harris’ criticism of his comments.

“I wasn’t disturbed,” Trump reportedly responded.

Trump went on to once again criticize Democrats, appearing to criticize former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and her husband, Paul Pelosi, in particular.

“They are Marxists, communists and fascists, and they are sick,” Trump reportedly said. “We have China, we have Russia, we have all these countries. If you have a smart president, they can all be solved. The hardest ones are, you know, the Pelosis, these people, they are so sick and so evil.”

The town hall is expected to air Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. Eastern Time.

In an interview broadcast over the weekend, Trump told Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo that “the biggest problem is the enemy within” when asked whether Americans should be worried about potential violence spurred by “outside agitators” on Halloween. elections.

“We have some very bad people, we have some sick people, radical left lunatics,” Trump told Bartiromo. “It should be easily handled, if necessary, by the National Guard, or if really necessary, by the military.”

Meanwhile, Fox News is scheduled to air Wednesday night an interview with Harris conducted by Bret Baier in Pennsylvania as she seeks to broaden her appeal to voters ahead of the Nov. 5 vote.

Trump didn’t seem too pleased with Harris’ meeting.

“Lyin’ Kamala Harris wisely chose FoxNews’ Bret Baier to do a much-needed interview because he is considered ‘fair and balanced,’ though often too soft on those on the left of the ‘cocktail circuit,’” he wrote Monday -fair on its Truth Social platform.

“I would have preferred to see a more hard-hitting journalist, but Fox has become so weak and soft on Democrats, constantly polluting the airwaves with unopposed Kamala surrogates, that all of that no longer matters,” he added.
