Silent Hill 2 remake sells more than 1 million units in the first week

Fans flocked to the Bloober Team remake after much praise leading up to its release.

Konami and Bloober Team’s remake of Silent Hill 2 is now available, and a week after its release, it appears to be doing very well in sales. Konami and Bloober Team announced that Silent Hill 2 surpassed 1 million units sold in the first week of its release.

Konami shared Silent Hill 2’s successful first week in a recent press release, shared by gaming social media outlet Wario64. Having released for PC and PlayStation 5 on October 8, 2024, Silent Hill 2’s sales mark a solid success for the game right from the start. The original Silent Hill 2 took about a month to reach one million, as reported by IGN. While Konami assigned development duties to Bloober Team, it’s worth noting that the original members of Team Silent, including composer Akira Yamaoka and concept artist Masahiro Ito, were also involved.
