Voice UK coach LeAnn Rimes cried when she saw a contestant from another team perform during the semi-final.

This season of the ITV talent series ends next week, but before then the 12 semi-finalists need to be whittled down to just four.

With three acts remaining for each of their teams, coaches Sir Tom Jones, will.i.am, LeAnn Rimes and Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones must decide who to hire.

One of the McFly men’s team hopefuls is Kyra, 20, from Manchester, who was flooded with support from coaches and spectators following her blind audition, in which she performed Jennifer Hudson’s version of Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight .

In tomorrow night’s episode Kyra takes to the stage and sings The Impossible Dream by Roberta Flack.

Kyra, who had to learn to sing again sitting down after being confined to a wheelchair last year, is greeted with applause from the studio audience, which includes her mother Rachel.

As she sings, LeAnn Rimes can be seen breaking out as her lips quiver during the emotional performance.

Before the performance, Tom reassures Kyra by giving a thumbs up and saying, “You can do it.”

Kyra’s audition was shown in the season premiere, with the student catching the attention of Sir Tom and Tom and Danny, who turned around in their chairs.

Speaking about being in a wheelchair, Kyra explained that she lives with POTS syndrome (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome), which causes her to experience an abnormally large increase in heart rate when standing.

She went on to explain how she is an ambulatory wheelchair user and often uses the chair when away from home.

Meanwhile, LeAnn previously said she often became emotional while working on the series.

“I cried the whole time,” she told Metro and other media during the show’s launch event.

The Voice semi-final airs on Saturday at 8.20pm on ITV1.
