Via Sistina dismissing superstar driver James McDonald and going nearly three laps around The Valley on Tuesday morning has been the talk of the Cox Plate week.

And now you can see it from J-Mac’s view after the footage was released via his helmet camera.

McDonald was filming for bookmaker Ladbrokes during Breakfast With The Best and the camera attached to his helmet captured the moment Via Sistina became trapped in the bandages and dropped the jockey.

Speaking after the incident, McDonald said: “Everything is fine, so is the horse.

“She was working brilliantly and obviously got stuck there with a loose bandage and tripped.

“Chris (Waller) seems very happy with her, the vets seem very happy with her.”

McDonald landed awkwardly, but said he fortunately appears to have avoided serious injury.

“I’ve got a bit of pain in my shoulder, as you’d probably expect, falling like that, it wasn’t that bad, it could have been a lot worse,” he said.
