THE Blade Indefinite delay controversy refers to Marvel Studios’ indefinite delay to 2025 Blade reboot, starring actor Mahershala Ali and actress Mia Goth, which was reported in October 2024. On October 22, 2024, Disney announced that Blade (2025) has been postponed indefinitely. 20th Century Studios’ Predator: Badlands instead, it would be released in November 2025.

A few minutes later, on October 22, quote user X @ZeroYear97 retweeted @DiscussingFilm with a screenshot of the “There Was Only One Blade” scene from Deadpool and Wolverinewriting, “The most cursed line of dialogue to ever exist in an MCU film.” The QRT gained over 147,000 likes in one day (shown below).

A post similar to the one mentioned above was shared by Redditor Elite_CC to /r/marvelcirclejerk on October 22, 2024, receiving over 2,800 upvotes in one day. Additionally, Redditor MarvelsGrantMan136 posted the news to /r/movies on October 22, earning more than 6,300 upvotes in one day.

Videos about the indefinite delay have also emerged on TikTok, such as a video posted by TikToker @tonyceno on October 22, receiving more than 112,600 plays and 27,700 likes in one day (shown below).
