How to beat the final boss in Horde Rush mode

How to beat the final boss in Horde Rush mode

Fortnitemares 2024 has added many new cosmetics and challenges to Fortnite over the past few weeks. One of the event’s most notable additions is the return of Horde Rush mode, which pits you against hordes of NPC enemies.

While most enemies in Horde Rush mode can be eliminated fairly easily, the final boss presents a difficult challenge, even as a team. As such, we’re here to bring you the latest information on how to defeat the most challenging boss in the popular LTM – the Janitor.

Horde Rush’s final boss is not an enemy to be taken lightly. Called the Caretaker, this boss has ranged and melee attacks, and can stun you for up to a second using a web attack if you get too close. Outside of its beam attack, the Caretaker primarily attacks using melee moves, such as a slam attack that knocks back any players near the boss.

Before your team comes face to face with the Janitor, it’s best to destroy as many cube generators as possible to avoid fighting extra enemies. You should also collect several weapons with different types of ammunition to ensure you always have a weapon ready to fire. Destroying cube generators kills two birds with one stone, as they also drop items when broken.

The Janitor has a lot of health, and since most of his attacks are melee moves, it’s best to fight him with ranged weapons. The glowing target on the Caretaker’s torso is his weak point, so you can defeat the final boss in Horde Rush by aiming for his chest and avoiding melee combat. Keep shooting at the glowing circle, avoiding getting too close, and you’ll defeat the boss quickly.
