A man previously arrested for drug trafficking arrested again in Elko

ELKO, Nev. (KOLO) – A man arrested for drug possession in Elko in July has been arrested again for drug possession.

Elko police say 45-year-old Anthony Robinson of Henderson was arrested Saturday evening following a traffic stop that led to the discovery of 80 fentanyl pills and more than $3,500 in cash.

Robinson, who had an outstanding warrant, was previously arrested July 10 in Elko on drug trafficking charges in connection with a scheme that allegedly involved selling drugs from an Elko-area hotel.

Police saw Robinson leaving a gas station on Lamoille Highway and conducted a traffic stop, where they say they found a hidden compartment containing the pills.

Robinson was booked into the Elko County Jail on drug-related charges and is being held without bail.

Police believe that due to the small denominations found in the car, Robinson was acting before he was arrested.
