Seattle police arrest a fugitive from Colorado for assault and harassment at the Capitol Hill club

A wanted fugitive now faces multiple assault and harassment charges after making threats and assaulting an employee at an LGBTQ nightclub in Capitol Hill.

The 58-year-old man was wanted on a drunk driving fugitive warrant in Colorado before he was found on Capitol Hill Sunday evening.

Officers were called to a nightclub in the 1500 block of Broadway about 9:20 p.m. after the man asked an employee about the fee and then reportedly became upset and made statements about “hurrying up the club.”

Another witness told police they also heard the statements before the man punched the employee and left the area.

The employee reported that the suspect then threw objects at him, police said.

Nightlife patrol officers quickly tracked the man to Broadway East and East John Street, where he was arrested.

Police said the suspect also made threats against officers while he was being transported to the King County Jail.

The man was booked on charges including assault 4 and three counts of intimidation.
