Charly Kinship, coordinator by Keep Statesboro-Bulloch Beautiful (KSBB) said, “We had a great turnout at the third annual RecycleFest! We were blessed with energetic volunteers, refreshments provided by the Unitarian Universalist Church and information shared by other local environmental groups such as the Tree Board and Greener Boro Commission.”

Kinship said that thanks to the recycling suppliers on hand, they were able to “divert several truck loads, a van load and a trailer load of materials from the landfill.” Other useful items were dropped off at Christian Social Ministries. They also collected a large amount of cardboard which was given to local farmers for gardening.
