Riley County police are investigating the theft of a $5,000 generator from a van in Manhattan

MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) – Riley County Police investigated the theft of a generator from a work truck on the Southwest Side of Manhattan.

The burglary and theft were reported around 8:37 a.m. Monday in the 500 block of Richards Drive.

Officers named a 35-year-old woman as the victim when it was reported her work van had been broken into and a Honda EU7000 generator had been taken by an unknown person.

The total estimated loss associated with this report is approximately $5,000.
