Jayson Tatum sent a blunt NSFW message to fans who keep talking about the Olympics

Three months after the 2024 Games in Paris, Boston Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum is done talking about his Olympics.

Tatum was benched by Team USA coach Steve Kerr last summer lots of splashy headlines amid the U.S. Olympic men’s basketball team’s gold medal-winning run. The All-Star forward once again fielded a question about how people wanted him to react to being in the Olympics after the Celtics’ 118-112 loss to the Golden State Warriors last Wednesday.

He had a rather blunt answer:

“I mean, that’s part of this job, that’s what I’ve been doing my whole career,” Tatum said. “People want me to be louder, people want me to be meaner, whatever. One thing about Jayson is that I will always do whatever the fuck I want to do.

“People who react differently can easily say what they would do if they were in my shoes,” Tatum continued. “I appreciate it when it comes from a good place, but like I said, I will always respond, react and approach things the way I want to.”

Tatum has clearly moved on and it seems he wants his fans to do so too.

The Celtics suffered their second loss of the young NBA season against a revitalized Warriors squad at TD Garden on Wednesday night, with Tatum scoring 32 points without star teammate Jaylen Brown on the court.

Boston hosts the Brooklyn Nets on Friday.
