Mount Vernon ISD mourns the deaths of students

MOUNT VERNON, Texas (KLTV) – Mount Vernon ISD is mourning the death of a student on Thursday.

High school student David Reeve died Wednesday evening after being struck by a vehicle, according to a statement from Mount Vernon ISD.

The school said Reeve was a member of the Mt. Vernon High School Audio and Visual team and helped broadcast the school’s Friday night football games.

According to the school, additional counselors will be available for students and staff.
