Sayre’s husband faces more than 500 counts of rape and other sex crimes against 17 women

A Bradford County man is charged with hundreds of sex crimes after a lengthy investigation involving 17 women, and officials believe there may be more victims who have not yet come forward.

Sean Hall, 45, of Sayre, faces more than 500 felonies – including 69 counts of rape, 47 counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, 56 counts of sexual assault, 198 counts of indecent assault, 127 counts of aggravated indecent assault , 18 counts of sexual assault, sexual extortion, ten counts of strangulation, six counts of unauthorized administration of an intoxicant and other unspecified crimes.

According to the indictment, Hall drugged several victims before having sexual intercourse with them. He also had deviant sexual intercourse with several victims, according to the complaint.

The charges stem from a months-long investigation into numerous drug and sexual assault allegations conducted by the Bradford County Drug Task Force, according to Bradford County District Attorney Richard Wilson.

Hall was recently investigated and charged with producing methamphetamine at his home on Linden Street in Sayre over the past year, Wilson said.

During the course of that Drug Task Force investigation, search warrants were served that not only resulted in drug-related evidence, but also evidence of sexual assault that Hall had recorded on several cameras in the residence, Wilson said.

Detectives spent hundreds of hours reviewing numerous videos of incidents in which non-consenting women were allegedly assaulted. Some victims were unconscious at the time of the attacks, and in some cases the attacks lasted several hours, researchers said.

“Our county is extremely fortunate to have dedicated law enforcement personnel, such as our Drug Task Force, who work collaboratively with various law enforcement agencies in the fight against crime,” Wilson said in a news release. “My hat goes off to our detectives for recognizing the other evidence of a crime and I applaud their efforts in bringing these charges.”

It’s also possible there are other victims who have not yet been identified, Wilson said. He asked other potential victims or anyone with information about the case to contact Bradford County Victim Witness Coordinator Teashia Calkins at 570-265-1759.

“I can promise that we will do our best to protect the identities of all callers and seek justice on their behalf,” Wilson said.
