Coahoma Community College Announces 2024 Valedictorian and Salutatorian

(Clarksdale, MS) – Coahoma Community College (CCC) is proud to announce the top academic achievements of the Class of 2024. This year, we celebrate Cade Gadman as valedictorian and Garret Smith as salutatorian for their achievements exceptional academics and extracurricular leadership.

Cade Gadman, is a second year sports management student from Clinton, MS. His remarkable academic achievements which exemplify Coahoma Community College’s commitment to excellence. Additionally, his active role in varsity sports as a baseball player highlights the institution’s commitment to all-round student development.

Garret Smith, an accounting student, contributes significantly to the academic and athletic life of SFC. As a member of the CCC Tigers baseball team and a dedicated student from Jackson, Mississippi, Garret demonstrates exemplary leadership both on the field and academically. His dedication to his studies and athletic activities demonstrates a commendable balance between commitment and excellence.

Dr. Valmadge Towner, President of Coahoma Community College, expressed his admiration for these students: “Cade and Garret represent the highest ideals of our institution: academic excellence, leadership and community involvement. but also to enrich the lives of others around them. We are extremely proud to pay tribute to them at the start of the year.

The opening ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at the Pinnacle on the Coahoma Community College campus. Cade and Garret will give speeches to their classmates, faculty, staff, family and friends at the event. Their speeches should highlight their academic backgrounds and their visions for the future.

The community is encouraged to join us in celebrating the achievements of our graduates at this important event.
