‘Large amount’ of meth found in bag of chips during traffic stop, Kilgore police say

KILGORE, Texas (KETK) – The Kilgore Police Department said Tuesday a traffic stop led to the arrest of a felon after finding a handgun and methamphetamine in a bag of chips.

According to a news release, a police officer observed a suspicious driver and stopped him for a reported traffic violation. During the stop, police confiscated a “large quantity” of methamphetamine hidden in a bag of chips and the driver was also in possession of a handgun.

“We can’t be clearer: If you sell or deal drugs in our city, you’re going to jail for a long time,” Kilgore police said.
