Billie Eilish Announces AMC ‘Hit Me Hard & Soft’ Listening Events

Billie Eilish has something special planned for fans counting down the seconds until her third studio album Hit me hard and soft arrives May 17.

To accompany her recently announced listening parties scheduled for May 15 and 16 in New York and Los Angeles, the singer revealed on Tuesday (May 7) that fans who were unable to secure a ticket to the in-person events can still get the complete experience with HIT ME HARD AND SOFT – A listening event presented by Apple Musicwhich will be shown at Dolby Cinema in AMC theaters across North America on May 16 and 17. According to a release, the event will give listeners “the chance to be one of the first to hear the new album with visual accompaniment.”

“(Something) special for those of you who can’t make it to LA or NYC,” Eilish wrote on Instagram Stories, sharing a poster for the visual project.

Tickets for the film’s two-day showing are $5 each and are available for purchase online. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the AMC Cares Charitable Fund, which distributes financial assistance to qualified nonprofit organizations.

The news comes a day after Eilish announced to her followers via social media that she would be coming to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn and the Kia Forum in Los Angeles for a bicoastal first look. Hit me hard and soft listening evenings on the 15th and 16th respectively. Fans were able to request up to two free tickets each on Ticketmaster once the announcement went live; the portal is always accessible, even if rolling stone reports that in-person shows are sold out.

Described by the two-time Oscar winner as a return to form – much like her debut record When we all fall asleep, where do we go?Hit me hard and soft contains 10 titles. The AMC and in-person listening events will mark the first time audiences will hear any of the songs from the record, as Eilish has previously explained that she won’t be releasing any singles until the project arrives.

Last week, the “Bad Guy” musician revealed the dates of her next world tour, which will begin on September 29 in Quebec and will take the singer across North America until the end of December.
