Teacher arrested for “kissing” with 11-year-old student, parents shocked

A teacher at a Wisconsin school has been accused of allegedly “kissing” an 11-year-old boy in her classroom.

The teacher, identified as Madison Bergmann, allegedly moved the child’s desk next to hers so she could touch him during class, while making sure no other students could see him.

According to a complaint filed Thursday in Holy Cross District Court, the boy, a fifth-grader, told investigators that Bergmann rubbed his thigh and calves during independent reading time.

In a conversation with The post office, one of the student’s mothers shared, “My daughter thought he was a problem child. She said her office was moved next to Bergmann’s a few months ago, and she just assumed he was in trouble.”

The victim’s classmate’s mother added that during lunch time the teacher would ask him to stay after class, reinforcing the idea that he was constantly in trouble.

The boy also claimed that Bergmann would also ask him to stay after class.

He said the accused teacher kissed him several times in his classroom, either after school or during other students’ lunch break.

The 24-year-old teacher was charged with first-degree sexual assault of a child under 13 years old.

According to a report from The New York Postthe boy’s family had become friends with Bergmann while accompanying him skiing at a nearby resort.

It was during that weekend that Bergmann received the boy’s number, she told authorities.

The boy’s mother heard a disturbing call and alerted her husband. According to the complaint, the father confiscated the boy’s phone and read his text messages.
