Mitsubishi Electric announces cancellation of own shares

TOKYO, May 9, 2024–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Mitsubishi Electric Corporation (TOKYO: 6503) today announced the cancellation of its treasury shares in accordance with the provisions of Article 178 of the Corporation Law, as set out below.

34,000,000 shares

(1.58% of the total number of shares issued before cancellation)

May 31, 2024

Note:

The number of shares to be canceled is deducted from the number of treasury shares as of April 30, 2024. The number of treasury shares includes 1,807,321 shares held through the Board Incentive Plan (BIP) Trust.
