Cruise line announces new discount and credit offer for teachers

UNDATED (WKRC) – A cruise line has announced a new discount and onboard credit offer for teachers.

According to USA today,Norwegian Cruise Line has announced a 5% discount for teachers and associated staff, as well as a $50 onboard credit.

“We are proud of our tradition of thanking educators for their hard work and commitment to shaping the next generation of future leaders,” said David J. Herrera, president of Norwegian Cruise Line. “To honor these education heroes for the lasting impressions they leave inside and outside the classroom, we are thrilled to not only offer 20 teachers, on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the Norwegian Giving Joy program, a free vacation on the next ship. Norwegian Aqua™, but also to extend recognition to the broader community of educators in the United States and Canada with our new Teacher Cruise. Travel is a powerful means of education, and we look forward to welcoming educators to join us aboard to explore. the world.”

According to a press release, from May 6 to June 7, the Norwegian “Giving Joy” campaign is accepting applications from teachers who are making a difference both in the classroom and in their community. This year, the top 20 educators from the United States and Canada who receive the most votes will be invited to attend an inaugural two-night event in Boston from April 4-6, 2025. Winners will sail aboard Norwegian Aqua, the company’s newest Prima Plus-class ship to debut in the United States.

The top five grand prize winners will have the opportunity to attend the ship’s christening celebration, followed by a three-night maiden voyage from Miami, April 13-16.
