Demario Douglas pleased with rookie additions to Patriots’ WR room

New England Patriots player Demario Douglas spoke to the media this week and said he really likes the fact that the Patriots added two rookies to the wide receiver room.

Douglas is determined to make an impact this season, after the organization endured a difficult 2023 campaign. Now the offensive unit is completely different. The wide receiver room in particular has been revamped, with the arrival of rookies Ja’Lynn Polk and Javon Baker.

Polk was New England’s second-round pick, with 37th overall selection in the 2024 NFL Draft. Baker was drafted in the fourth round with the 110th global selection. Both receivers are coming off 1,000-yard seasons with Washington and UCF, respectively. Now, they appear to be an important part of the Patriots offense in the years to come.

Douglas is happy with what each of them brings.

“We definitely added dogs to the room,” Douglas said, according to Nicole Yang of the Boston Globe, via Greg Dudek of NESN.com.

Both Polk and Baker undoubtedly possess enormous skill sets. The most important thing – and also where the Patriots have struggled the most over the years – will be developing them.
