Courteney Cox's Living Room Color Celebrates Quiet Luxury

When done right, neutral is anything but boring. The proof is in the pudding in Courtney Cox’s space.

Celebrity photographer Rich Stapleton photographed the Friends actress’ space, and the images are not to be missed. The fifth slide of the carousel shared on Instagram shows Cox’s living room celebrating a neutral, warm color palette filled with rich textures of beige and brown. It fits into the trend of discreet luxury in a modern, comfortable and organic way.

Her living room color palette is both classic and new and, unsurprisingly, designers love this look.

“The warm, neutral palette adds softness and a relaxed, comfortable feel,” comments Manuela Hamilford, founder and creative director of Hamilford Design.

Manuela was born in Vicenza, Italy, then moved to New York to begin her career in design, where she acquired a flair for interiors and a passion for custom furnishings. She founded her luxury interiors studio, Hamilford Design, in London in 2000.

One of the most stylish elements of the space is the integration of earthy and natural textures in the neutral living room. Hamilford says: “I love sustainable natural materials, rattan, wood, sheepskin rugs and stone floors, they all work with the neutral palette. These earthly elements provide a sense of grounding and build on a trend toward sustainability: the natural materials in our homes impact our mood and make us calmer.

Nina Lichtenstein, a noted interior designer based in Westchester, agrees, adding, “Grey natural stone floors form a solid foundation, anchoring the space with their earthy texture.” Wooden furniture, decor and accents, such as the framed opening to the adjacent room, infuse warmth and organic charm, effortlessly complementing stone floors.

The sofa, adorned with a throw elegantly draped over it, exudes comfort and relaxation.
