Richard Gadd Shocked That ‘Baby Reindeer’ Isn’t Just A ‘Cult Artistic Gem’ While Real-Life Martha’s Interview Is Watched By Millions

Richard Gadd said he was shocked by the success of Baby Reindeer and his newfound fame as the lines are blurred between the Netflix series and reality.

In an interview with The Daily Record newspaper, Gadd said he thought Baby Reindeer would simply be “a little cult artistic gem” rather than the monstrous success it became.

“It was kind of crazy. I didn’t expect it to blow up like this,” Gadd said. “I thought it would be a success, but I didn’t expect it overnight, I don’t even like to use that word, celebrity.”

He added: “I really believed in this show but it really felt like one day he was on the platform and the next day there were people camping in my backyard. »
