Torrianna Finney, 18, was taken into custody for theft and contributing to the delinquency of a minor on May 9.th. Officers were dispatched to the Dickerson Pike Wal-Mart. They were informed that loss prevention officers had a 10-year-old male, the little brother of Finney’s boyfriend, in custody for allegedly shoplifting more than $1,000 worth of merchandise. When officers arrived, they spoke with the young man, who said he was inside the store with his brother’s girlfriend, Finney, and provided them with his Tennessee ID. Then Finney returned to the store with his backpack and pointed at her on camera. Officers located her and took her to the loss prevention office. The cart the 10-year-old girl was carrying contained women’s clothing, body products, children’s toys and other miscellaneous items. Finney told them she put a few items in the cart, adding that she lost sight of her boyfriend’s brother. Finney didn’t know he would try to drive away with the cart. She then told officers she had no way to pay for the merchandise. The 10-year-old told police he and Finney were putting items in the cart. Officers searched her bag and found two brand new sports bras and watches. She was later arrested for this incident.
