KOCHI: Air India Express continues to cancel its flights today too. Notification has been obtained regarding flight cancellations. Two services from Kannur and one from Kochi were canceled on Monday morning.

Services from Dammam and Bahrain scheduled to depart in the morning were disrupted. Services from Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Dammam and Bahrain to Kochi have also been cancelled. Services scheduled to operate in the domestic sectors of Bangalore, Kolkata and Hyderabad have also been cancelled.

Some services were also canceled on Monday. The disruption occurred in services from Kochi to Dammam and Bahrain. There were no services reaching Kochi from Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Dammam and Bahrain on Sunday. Even though the workers called off the strike, Air India services are yet to return to normal. Airports are losing millions in revenue because of this.

The authorities announced the other day that services would resume as soon as the strikers returned. Crews have started returning to work, but cabin crew must obtain a certificate of fitness to return to work. Officials informed that the procedures would be accelerated. Thanks to the strong intervention of the central government, the strike by Air India Express employees reached a settlement last Thursday. The decision was taken during a discussion held by the employees’ association and representatives of Air India in the presence of the Chief Labor Commissioner (Central) in Delhi. According to the agreement, the dismissal of 30 employees was also canceled.
