Los Angeles Lakers, Brooklyn Nets among teams ready to pounce on Donovan Mitchell trade

After a frustrating season, the Brooklyn Nets should go after a star this offseason. Among the players they are targeting is All-Star shooting guard Donovan Mitchell if he decides Cleveland isn’t the right place for his career.

Mitchell first entered the NBA as the 13th pick of the Denver Nugget in the 2017 draft and was traded to the Utah Jazz shortly after. While most of the attention initially focused on Ben Simmons that year, he then gained momentum late in the regular season with averages of 20.5 points, 3, 7 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.5 steals per game.
